The Bundaberg Mail (Qld. : 1917 - 1925) Tuesday 21 March 1922 p 4 Article
The Church of England, Gladstone, on Wednesday last, was the scene of a very pretty wedding. The Rev Johnson officiated, when Mr Simon W. Streeter (late of the AIF), fourth son of Mr W Streeter of Calliope and Miss Lorna May Ward, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs F Ward of Molangul, were united in the bonds of holy matrimony. The bride entered the Church on the arm of her brother, Mr Frank Ward, junr, who gave her away, and was charmingly attired in a white silk georgette gown, with scalloped bottom, while the bodice was beautifully hand embroidered, and orange blossoms to match. The bridesmaid, Miss Grace Mossman (cousin of the bride) wore a dainty white crepe de chine frock with hat to match. The bride and bridesmaid each carried a handsome bouquet of asparagus and white roses which was kindly given by Mrs L G Hancock, Miriam Vale. sexy young mother of the bride gown
After the ceremony the party motored to the studio where several photographs were taken. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome handbag and the bride's gift to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve-links. The bridesmaid received a neat gold brooch while the best man received a set of gold sleeve links with name engraved. The happy couple left for their future home at Littlemore by the evening train. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue crepe de chine prettily trimmed with navy crepe de chine hat to match. The bride's wedding gown was made by Miss M Moore, Bundaberg.
